Daily32 WordPress Theme Released
It is time for another WordPress theme. Daily32 was designed to offer a professional layout with three sub-header sections and three sub-footer sections. Bloggers often want to display special content and links on their blogs, and these sections will allow you to do exactly that.

This is another theme from the guys over Design Saurus. As you can see they know how to squeeze quality and functionality into WordPress themes.
The download comes with the PSD file for the header and the necessary fonts. You will just need to open it on Photoshop (or an equivalent image editing software) and modify it with your blog name. There is also an alternative text based header for people that are not able to modify the PSD file, but it does not look as good as the original one.
Finally, here are the other features:
- Advertising Ready: The theme comes with six 125×125 banner spots ready to go. You will just need to upload the banners into the Images folder and update the ads.php file.
- Feedburner Integration: The theme has an options page where you can simply paste your Feedburner feed URL. It also comes with a styled email subscription form, where you just need to put your Feedburner email id.
- Comments Styling: The author comments already come with a different style so that readers can easily identify them.
- Popular Posts: The Popular Posts section on the sub-header already comes with a WordPress function that will automatically display the most commented posts from the blog.
- Search Engine Optimization: As usual the title and meta tags have already been optimized. The categories and archive pages are also structured to display only post excerpts.
If you find any problems or have suggestions just let us know and we will work on it.

I just typed Dailyblogtips.com cos I wanted one of your old themes to work on and I found a brand new one released today. Nice!
Thanks Dainel
This has to be the best theme you have released so far. It is simple and has a nice group of features. Im looking forward to seeing how these develop in the future.
That is a great theme for a blog. It probably suits a slightly older blog more than a new one which doesnt have the content to make use of all those boxes.
@ Steven & Tom : Thanks for the nice comments
Not to rain on anyone’s parade—the theme looks cool and everything—but are you really allowed to redistribute Gill Sans with the theme? That…surprises me.
Rajab, I am already working on a page that will display all of our themes in a single place.
thanks for making this and the other 3 free. i read about your plan to make studiopress in diff colors. looking forward to it
Thanks a lot for your free themes, they are simply great!
Looking forward to more of those!
Love the StudioPress too!!
Ian, perhaps you were correct.
The font itself was invented in 1928 so I am sure if there are still copyrights over it, but apparently you can’t find it for free on the web.
We changed the theme files to include a public font instead.
Thanks for the Gem. This one is the best so far.
Nice, i like this theme, however i prefer studio press. I use studio press for my blog.
Hi Daniel,
Man! just loved this template, the one I have right now is fine but really looking for the template ads block (ready) because tons of enquiry are asking me about advertising on my site/blog and I just found it, Daniel when it’s ready I will have you take a look.
Thank You,
Albert Hallado
Great theme. I just implemented on my blog and it is absolutely perfect
I still have to edit the header images and some other minor stuff, but I think I just found a PERFECT theme for my blog. Thanks.
great looking theme, except I would probably not use orange
I like this wordpress theme, I like especially how they are coming out with more themes that are like Revolution, and the magazine style used. A lot of time and money is going into making all these wordpress themes and plugins for people to use for their websites. Premium themes are great but it seems you don’t have to wait long for the better free themes to come along.
Thank you for posting this, I hope to see other color schemes come out.
Mary
Wow.. just what I was looking for.. Perfect!!
There’s a bug on your demo: the date that is after a post entry has a period after the year. But on the full post page, there is a space between the year and the period.
Another bug too: On http://www.dailyblogtips.com/demos/?m=200801 in the [title] tag on Safari 3, OS X 10.4.11, there are 4 unknown characters appearing, two in front of 2008, and two between the year and month. And then on the January 9th page, there are three sets of bad characters in the page title. http://www.dailyblogtips.com/demos/?m=20080109 I don’t see this problem on other pages (categories, posts, etc…)
I like it. ^.^
Michael, working on that thanks.
Can you include the PSD files for the Popular Posts, Resources and Subscribe image headers?
Chris, the PSD of “Resources” is there, so you just need to modify it to whatever you want and use on the appropriate section.
I really like this theme. I’ve been looking for a theme for a new website (not really a blog, but will be published in a similar fashion)…and this one will work perfectly. Thanks so much for releasing such a great design!
I just can say: “It’s really nice theme”. thanks for the free theme
A striking resemblance to the Blogging Experiment theme that I have customized on my site!
Great theme, this is the one that am been look for the the past weeks, finally i got . Thanks guys and hope you guy can come up with more good design.
after download and extract. i go thru header.php and at line 11 found that
I am always looking for great Wordpress themes for my blogs but a lot of them just don’t fit what I am looking. It’s always nice when I find, or someone finds for me, new themes that have what I want.
I am not much of programmer so I when I make changes to WP themes I spend most of my time fixing problems I created.
I am learning slowly but in the meantime I will use other people’s themes.
One of the best free themes around atm. Actually, it is better than most so called premium themes
Daniel, is there a way to limit the amount of months shown in the archives section of the footer?
Chris, yes you would need to find the correct php code to insert.
Is it going below the limit?
I actually figured it out, thanks.
One more thing, where do I edit in the CSS the section that controls images in posts? I see a couple lines with “float; left”, but I’m wanting to implement my current CSS rule so my posts up until now all format the same.
Basically what I’m looking to do is get class=”left off”, class=”right off” etc. in the CSS somewhere, so the images will align accordingly around text, and the word “off” triggers an image without a border.
Here is my current CSS layout to do this, but when added to your theme, the images don’t change positions at all:
.entry img { }
.entry img.left { padding: 3px; margin: 0.5em 15px 0.5em 0; border: 3px double #bbb; float: left; clear: left; }
.entry img.right { padding: 3px; margin: 0.5em 0 0.5em 15px; border: 3px double #bbb; float: right; clear: right; }
.entry img.center { display: block; padding: 3px; margin: 0 auto 1.5em auto; border: 3px double #bbb; float: none; clear: both; }
.entry img.off { padding: 0 !important; border: none !important; }
.entry img.stack { clear: none !important; }
Chris, just remove the css codes on the theme for images and paste yours.
You can identify them by the .img code.
Hmm, that didn’t quite work too well.
All the images in the header and sidebar are all out of place.
Is it possible to edit an area in the CSS that handles images in the posts only?
Thanks This is one of the great theme
Is there any way to increase the height of the header image without making it overlap the subheader? You would think it would just push it down, but it doesn’t.
Nice template.

this theme rockz! i’m using it right now
Awesome theme. I really want to use this on my next blog. How do I put in Adsense ads in the right sidebar instead of using the banner spots there?
This is my first time using photoshop, and I’m having a hard time modifying the subheading PSD. Every time I change the resource subheading and save it as a GIF to overwrite the old GIF, the pic that gets saved is way too big. Something’s not right. The main Banner jpeg was easy to modify. I’m not sure if all those save options that are available for GIFS could be messing this up or not.
Well, I solved my previous problem, and now I have a new one. For some reason, when viewing the theme using IE6 from WinXP, the “resources” box is not the same height as the adjacent “popular posts” and “subscribe” boxes.
Here’s my dummy domain where I’m doing the testing, if anyone wants to take a look: http://hometheatertutor.com
This is not spam — there is nothing at that URL except for this theme, as this URL is being used by me for testing only.
i see that in my homepage post there are some spots to adsense advertisments. how i can put my adsense on these pots?. thx.
This is a great theme, but I think there’s a bug in IE8 on WinXP. Take a look at the 125×125 ad blocks at this pic and notice that the top two ads are not even with one another.
http://s26.photobucket.com/alb.....8WinXP.png
@John, we are taking a look, but isn’t IE8 in beta still?
@mademind, you will need to insert the code manually, or try using an Adsense plugin.
Daniel,
Thanks for following up! Yes, IE8 is in beta, and after looking into this more, I think it’s possible that there is a bug in IE8’s html interpreter. I guess I shouldn’t find that so strange, given Microsoft’s history. But apparently there are lots of issues with how that browser is displaying pages.
Before researching this further, I did not realize that the beta version of IE8 could potentially have such massive problems with a basic core functionality. But maybe it does. (I realize that beta versions are not complete and usually do have bugs, but there’s usually some pre-beta testing first so a company can be sure it isn’t releasing complete garbage.)
Anyway, I’m going to go ahead and finish installing this theme on my blog, but we should all keep an eye on IE8 compatibility, not just for this theme but whatever other development we’re doing, in the unfortunate event that IE8 should break the Web.
Is anyone else having trouble with the popular posts box? Mine doesn’t load any posts in the box.
Great theme. How would I add the search bar to the top right of the navigational bar located at the top of the page?
Thank you
First of all let me tell you that this is one of the best themes for wordpress and I want to thank you for releasing it for free.
While personalizing the theme I came across a problem that I could not solve and was hoping that you could help me. I was trying really hard, but still didn`t manage to do it by myself.
I have activated the Gravatar Plugin and it is working, but I can`t make the gravatars appear “in” the comment. They appear above the comment.
Here is a screenshot how it looks now and the arrow is pointing where I want gravatar to appear.
http://i109.photobucket.com/al.....avatar.jpg
Could you tell where exactly do I have to copy-paste the code so that it appears “in” the comment.
Thanks in advance,
Zlatan
Daniel,
How do you get the comments function to show on pages?
Daniel,
Nevermind on my previous comment about the comment box on pages. I figured it out.
But is it me or does this theme not allow for images to be centered?
Seems theme has problem. We can comment with plain text but can’t with html tag or link.
Is that error? Do you have any solution.
Can the comments be switched around to the way most people are accustomed to?? What I mean is, is there a way to move the comment box back below the comments instead of before them?
I love the theme:)
I’m currently using it on my cowboy blog!
@Dannie, delete the .img tags on the css file so you can do whatever you want with images.
@Lasvak and A Cowboy’s Wife, we will look into that.
Thanks Daniel for looking into it. The way the comments are, are on my readers only complaint;) I guess they don’t like changes like that..lol.
Hi everyone can you help
I am really new (no programming skills whatsoever) to this and Daniel has already been helpful but I have a problem which you may be able to help me with.
When I view the site with IE 7 on XP if I put a second paragraph in a post everything starts to jumble up but when I view with Firefox everything is OK.
What can I do to fix this ? Is there a fix
I looked at the site through the validator and it gives me the following message
line 55 “end tag for “ul” which is not finished”
Are these problems related - again any help would be appreciated as this is such a great theme.
Cheers in advance
Rob …… A total beginner in wordpress
I am having the same issue as Rob (above commenter).
My blog is using this Daily32 theme, and in Internet Explorer the main page of the blog (not individual post pages) gets all messed up.
It’s like there is formating/layout issue.
I understand that IE doesn’t show all sites the same way as Firefox or other browsers, but this is a major issue that makes it almost impossible to read in IE.
You can see the issue at Robs site (linked from his name), just make sure to use IE when viewing it (I am running IE 7).
I have also seen this on many other blogs that run this same theme. I have tried to fix it, and I think I’m pretty good at fixing/editing WP themes, but I can’t figure this out.
I have sent a few emails about this issue, to dailyblogtips and the creator of this theme, but no response yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love this theme want to use it, but I can’t if this doesn’t get fixed.
Thank you,
Joel
New Question:
Is there a way to exclude a category from showing up in the Popular box??? All my contest posts take away from my really good ones because they get soooo many contests.
???
How do I change the header on the blog? I’ve uploaded it to wordpress, but I can’t seem to find a place to change “IT’s a Blogger’s World”.
Thanks, in advance, for your help.
This theme is excellent but I cannot figure out why the text wrapping will not work for me when there are more than one paragraph of text to wrap around the same image.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I have tried changing the .img class but it is still not working.
I’m using this theme as well & am having the same problems as #54 & #55 above.
Has there been any fix for this???
Nice looking theme you have made, but I have a question. Does the Sub header need to be enabled in some way. Its not showing up when I install the theme. I’m using WP ver 2.61
Thanks
Kevin.
I use this theme at my site http://mayuonline.com/eblog
but the side bar goes down.. wot could be the problem????
I didn’t do anything funny with CSS
Should I upload a new version of the theme?
Dear Daniel,
I have just started blogging and I selected your this theme. But I want to change the Orange colors on the header, sidebars to Blue and I could not able to do it using GIMP software. Please help.
Regards,
Praveen
